Madison
Less than 10 miles north of downtown Nashville, Madison was once the home of President Andrew Jackson, and his estate, The Hermitage, still stands today in neighboring Old Hickory. Old Hickory Boulevard, one of two main thoroughfares through the suburb, actually sits along the original route of the Trail of Tears. Today, Madison is one of Nashville’s most rapidly growing urban areas. Madison’s ideal location and proximity to the city’s urban core have made it a favorite for investors in recent years, and a massive redevelopment of the Madison Square Shopping Center is already in the works. There is certainly plenty of buzz amongst local flippers and real estate gurus that Madison could be one of the best investments in Middle Tennessee.
